Check Valve
Check valve is also known as one-way valve or non-return valve. This kind of valve is automatically opened and closed by the force generated by the flow of medium in the pipeline. A check valve is an automatic valve, and mainly applied to the pipe with medium flows in one direction to prevent accident. BALTIC mainly manufactures four types of the check valve: swing check valves, pressure sealing swing check valves, dual plate check valves and tilting disc check valves.
1. As the channel within the valve is in streamline form, the flow resistance of the swing check valve is smaller than that of the lifting check valve. It's suitable for low flow and large-caliber applications without frequently change in flow. However, it's not suitable for pulsating flow for sealing performance poorer than that of the lifting check valve.
2. A swing check valve is suitable for various working conditions of pipeline for petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, chemical fertilizer and electric power industry.
3. The swing check valve is suitable for the clean medium like water, oil, steam, acid medium, but not suitable for medium with solid particles and great viscosity.
From the working performance point of view, pressure sealing bonnet valve has better sealing when facing the greater pressure within the working pressure range. It is mainly used in working conditions above 900lbs.
The center vertical pin shaft. When the valve is open, the resultant force of fluids is on the center of sealing face of the disc, while the point of action of counter spring support force is on the center of disc surface so that the root of the disc opens firstly. It avoids wearing of the sealing surface of the old conventional valve when the valve opens, and increases the persistence of valve seal.
When the flow slows down, the counter force of the torsion spring makes the disc moves to the valve seat, and the valve is in slow off stage. When fluid flow backwards, the closing speed of the disc is correspondingly increased and it enters the rapid closing stage under the force of backflow fluids on the disc and counterforce of the torsion spring. The influence and harm of water hammer is effectively reduced. When closed, the spring force closes the top of the disc firstly so that the root of the disc is prevented from being bitten to guarantee longer service life of valve sealing surfaces.
The API 594 single disc wafer check valve is a single disc swing wafer connecting check valve that prevents backflow of the medium. They are all ultra-thin check valves. The single disc swing wafer connecting check valve is designed to be connected through the wafer. Stainless steel or stellite build-up welding may be applied to sealing surfaces of the valve body and the disc. The valve is suitable for the clean medium, and not suitable for medium with solid particles and great viscosity. The main merit of the tilting disc check valve is that it overcomes shock and water hammer in operating condition of swing check valves and lifting check valves to realize shock-free operation.
1. A double eccentric disc. When closed, the valve will contact with the sealing surface slowly with no impact and no noise.
2. Micro elastic metal seats and good sealing performance.
3. Butterfly disc design, quick opening and closing and long service life.
4. The titling disc structure makes the fluid passage streamline with small flow resistance and good energy-saving effect.
